Le Couvent des Minimes Hôtel & Spa L’Occitane invites visitors to discover the works of Marine de Soos throughout the summer
An architectural jewel revitalized by contemporary design, the Couvent des Minimes Hôtel & Spa L’Occitane offers an idyllic summer interlude. Its magnificent garden has recently welcomed the bronze sculptures of artist Marine de Soos, thus inviting guests on a charming bucolic stroll.
A luxurious haven of peace, nestled within the walls of a historic convent dating back to 1613, this five-star establishment represents a place of memory—that of the Minims, devoted to contemplation and botany. The “Jardin des Minimes,” created on the terraced slopes, blends the scents of lavender and lavandin, acacias, lemongrass, verbenas… guiding us step by step toward the works of Marine de Soos.
Le Grand Pêcheur sur échasse is displayed in front of the large basin; Le Pousseur de Lune surprises guests among the garden tables; Le Pêcheur sur échasse takes its place at the heart of the central fountain; La Femme à l’enfant and Le Jeune Flûtiste adorn the space beneath the majestic cloister framework.
True objects of curiosity, the sculptures punctuate the guests’ journey throughout the property. Made of bronze and adorned with sober, refined patinas, they were meticulously selected by the hotel’s director, Fabien Piacentino, to resonate perfectly with the spirit of the place.
The Couvent des Minimes benefits from a site full of charm and authenticity while offering a new, pared-down, colorful, and decidedly contemporary setting. Its 700 m² L’Occitane Spa guides guests toward heightened tranquility, and its two restaurants—led by chef Jérôme Roy—invite them to a gastronomic experience that highlights the very best of the local terroir.
A true haven of plenitude, it is at the heart of its magnificent garden that the works of artist Marine de Soos have naturally found their place.
