Here Elsewhere

Until October 1, the Parisian bookshop Jardins en art is presenting an exhibition that brings together sculpture and photography. Entitled Jardins d’ailleurs, it brings together the sculptures of Marine de Soos, inspired by distant horizons and rich in the resonances of her years spent on the African continent, and the photographs of Jean-Baptiste Leroux, gathered in his latest book, Oasis, the result of twenty years spent traversing the Sahara. Between strength and emotion, the sculptures respond to the serene and poetic photographs of these magical places where inspiration springs from the earth like water and vegetation. A true visual interlude, the union of these two perspectives offers a sense of escape capable of nourishing the imagination and awakening a longing for elsewhere.
