Contemporary art at the heart of the gardens

From July 2 to October 2, 2026, the Château de Cheverny hosts four bronzes by the French artist Marine de Soos .

They are installed in the gardens, between the permanent exhibition The Secrets of Moulinsart and the flower garden , and they offer a renewed visitor experience, between heritage and contemporary creation.

Four works, four universal gestures.

The sculptures on display are called: The Welcome, Great Moon Pusher, Great Flautist and Palabres . They represent simple and profoundly human gestures: welcoming, playing, listening, exchanging.

Their slender silhouettes and serene attitudes invite you to slow down and contemplate them in the heart of one of the most emblematic castles of the Loire Valley.

Marine de Soos: a work nourished by travel and memory

For more than twenty-five years, Marine de Soos has been creating bronze figures inspired by her memories of Africa and her travels.

Through scenes imbued with gentleness and humanity , she seeks to translate emotions and moments of life that speak to everyone, beyond cultures and eras.

A dialogue between art and gardens

This summer presentation invites visitors to extend their discovery of the castle through a sensitive approach to contemporary creation .

Discreetly integrated into the route, the sculptures blend into the landscape without altering its balance and offer a renewed visitor experience.

The exhibition is organised in collaboration with the Artistics gallery and the association Le Jardin des Amoureux.
